Mélanie Cyr, RMT/ Owner

After completing her 3-year program at Collège Boréale in Sudbury, Mélanie has been a Registered Massage Therapist in Orleans since 2003. She provides a unique Deep Tissue Therapy technique that is very effective in treating a variety of ailments. She offers quality and professional care to all of her clients.

As a therapist, Mélanie strives to offer excellent treatments and refine her techniques by continually upgrading her skills. She is qualified in Schweitzer Basic and Advanced Deep Tissue Therapy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Massage Therapy for cancer patients and Cupping.

Mélisande Carrière, RMT

Mélisande graduated from the ‘massage therapy program’ at Collège Boréal in Sudbury in 2009. She is an active member of the College of Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario and also a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, she has experience in diverse environments such as RMT clinics, physiotherapy clinics and spas.  Consequently, she comes to MyBody with a variety of techniques and knowledge. Mélisande is also conscious as to how continuous education is important to her career and to her clients. She’s attended courses such as ‘Myofascial Release Therapy’, ‘Mid/lower Cervical Mobilization’, ‘Shoulder Mobilization’, ‘Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction’, ‘Rib Dysfunction’, amongst others. She is committed to creating and implementing effective and focused treatment plans for each individual client.

Sylvie Bérubé, RMT

Sylvie has a long held interest in Massage. In 2000, she enrolled at heritage College and graduated in Massage Therapy in 2003 and has been practicing ever since.  Her focus from the start was to provide a welcoming and professional space for clients to come relax and receive exceptional Massage Therapy care.  Her commitment has resulted in a loyal and long-term relationship with her clients.  Sylvie has taken courses in Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial release, Schweitzer’s Deep Tissue Therapy, Thermal palms massage and Hot Stone and Positional Release Therapy ( also known as Strain/Counterstain, is a form of manual therapy that resolves pain and tissue dysfunction).

 

SARA CARTER, RMT

Sara graduated top of her class from the International Academy of Massage in Ottawa in 2016.  She enjoys the challenges of treating a variety of conditions and creating tailored treatment plans for each individual and their needs. She has been a great addition to our team. Sara excels at pinpointing the issue and developing the right treatment plan for each individual. She has also taken a Cupping course that has been quite helpful for treating sports injuries and overuse syndromes.
